While Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunting in Alabama at Cedar Lake Lodge, you can expect an average of 150" to 160" class trophy buck to dominate the landscape. Our deer herd will range from 120" SCI to 300" SCI. The real excitement starts when you first see one of these giant Trophy Bucks slipping through the open woods and your guide tells you it is pushing the 300" range. There is not a better rush than that first time you see your Whitetail of a lifetime step out into the open.

Cedar Lake Lodge Whitetail Deer Hunting is located on over 1,000 acres in Wilcox County, Alabama. For your convenience, we manage 10 plush food plots each year that are all surrounded by planted pines with shooting lanes and trails cut all throughout the property. The scenery is breathtaking with creeks and ponds throughout the property. We must say, the bass fishing is first class to say the least. You will enjoy Deer Hunting from box blinds on food plots, ladder stand in open woods, safari style, and stalk hunts when appropriate.
The box blinds can accommodate up to 3-4 hunters, can be heated, are equipped with cushioned chairs and most are handicap accessible.

How your hunting day will start:

  • 5:00am Wake up time and breakfast snacks available
  • 6:00am - 9:30am Guided Hunting
  • 10:00am Country breakfast at lodge
  • 11:00am - 2:00pm Leisure Time (safari style hunting if client wishes)
  • 2:30pm - Dusk Guided Hunting
  • 6:30pm - 9:00pm Cocktails and Dinner


Items to bring:  Ammunition, Optics & Hunting Supplies, Rain Gear & Warm Clothing, Good Boots and any other personal items you may need. We recommend no less than a .243 caliber rifle and we will check sites upon arrival just to be sure all is well. If needed we do have a rifle sited in and ready to go in the event that a firearm malfunctions or for some reason does not make the trip.
